At the Paul Strickland Scanner Centre we have a team of highly skilled radiologists and radiographers. Our radiologists have over 70 years’ combined experience in reading and reporting complex CT studies. Our experienced and caring radiographers have the specialist training and knowledge required to perform CT scanning techniques safely to the highest standard. The Centre fully supports staff through Continuous Professional Development (CPD) - the systematic updating and enhancement of skills, knowledge and competence throughout their career. This includes attendance at external study days, in-house lectures/presentations and Post Graduate Education to MSc level. All radiographers are trained in intra-venous cannulation.

Radiologists
Dr Andrew Gogbashian MB BS MRCS FRCR, Consultant Radiologist
Dr Gogbashian graduated from Imperial School of Medicine, London, in 2001 and gained membership of The Royal College of Surgeons during surgical training. In 2004 he was appointed as a research fellow at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard University, Boston, USA. Here he completed clinical and laboratory based research, gaining interests in oncological molecular imaging and real-time intraoperative imaging leading to appointment as radiology registrar at Hammersmith Hospital and gaining membership of The Royal College of Radiologists. In 2010 he completed his training at PSSC and Mount Vernon Cancer Centre undertaking a fellowship in oncological imaging, developing interests in functional and multiparamedic imaging techniques within diagnostic and therapeutic response assessment.

Nicola Fry DCR, DRI, PgCert,
CT Superintendent Radiographer

Nicola has over 10 years experience in managing CT services at Northwick Park Hospital, North West London and for the last 3 years has been CT Superintendent at the Paul Strickland Scanner Centre. She obtained a Post Graduate Certificate in CT Scanning from Bradford University.

Beverley Fulton DCR,
CT Deputy Superintendent Radiographer

Beverley gained wide experience in CT and MRI scanning techniques at the Royal Free Hospital, London. She joined the Paul Strickland Scanner Centre in October 2005.

James Stirling DCR(R) MSc,
Superintendent Research MRI/CT Radiographer

James gained his professional qualification in 1985. His first position was at St. Mary's Hospital, London. After 3 years' experience in general radiography he moved to Queen Square to gain experience in neurology. Three years later he spent a year in Jersey before taking up a position in the Harley Street Scanning Centre. After a year he became the practice manager. In 1995 a position for practice manager at Holly House MRI unit became available. He stayed there until moving to Paul Strickland Scanner Centre in 1997. He completed his MSc in MRI in 2003.

Ian Simcock DCR(R) PgDip,
Deputy Superintendent Research MRI/CT Radiographer

Ian qualified as a Diagnostic Radiographer from Keele University in 1996 and he began work at Chase Farm Hospital. Following 2 years of general Radiography experience he travelled overseas to Australia and worked for 3 years at the Prince of Wales Hospital, Sydney. Here he developed a special interest in CT and MRI and subsequently passed the Australian Institute of radiography MRI exam. Having returned to the UK in 2001 he worked at many specialist MRI units including Great Ormond Street Hospital and the Middlesex/UCH before joining the team at Paul Strickland Scanner Centre in 2005. He was made Deputy Research Superintendent in 2007 and is currently studying towards his MSc in Imaging at the University of Hertfordshire
